This Filisko arrangement examines the classic blues melody “Baby, Please Don't Go,” first recorded by Big Joe Williams in 1935. This can be played as an 8-bar blues using only the root (I) chord. This arrangement features the melody in the shuffle groove and comes in three progressive versions—easy, intermediate, and advanced. The easy version includes chords, clean notes, and controlled breathing. The intermediate adds splits, bending, vamping/slapping, chordal effects, and more complex breathing. The advanced builds on these with further bending, splits, and advanced breathing techniques.
